Hi, I’m Kimon and I work as Country Manager DACH at Juvigo.
How did you come to Juvigo?
I met Björn, our CEO, at a university event and we stayed in touch via LinkedIn. When a position opened up, I applied. That’s how it all started.
Do holiday camps have a special meaning to you?
I went to camp as a little boy and absolutely loved it. Later, I became a counselor myself. I always found it special how, for a few days, you could immerse yourself in a little world of its own. It felt like a unique experience every time
What exactly are your tasks at Juvigo?
I started at Juvigo as an Account & Product Manager for the DACH market, where my main focus was ensuring our partners are happy and well-supported. This includes tasks like invoicing, contract negotiations, and managing the placement of individual products and camps on our website. Along the way, I’ve also stayed in touch with our customers and contributed to various projects. Recently, I’ve taken on the role of team lead, making sure everyone is doing well, has clear responsibilities, and that our team stays well organized and efficient.
What does a typical working day look like for you?
The first thing I do is get an overview of the day. I make sure all emails are assigned and all bookings are being processed. Then I check in with our partners to ensure everything is running smoothly and verify that the information on our website is up to date. After lunch, there’s usually a meeting on various topics, and the afternoon is often spent handling organizational tasks.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I enjoy most is helping people find clear, useful answers, especially when something complicated suddenly makes sense. It’s incredibly satisfying to turn confusion into clarity. The same goes for supporting happy customers or finding good solutions when challenges arise in collaboration with our partners.
What do you enjoy least about your job?
What I enjoy least is when I can’t provide a complete or fully up-to-date answer, especially when it depends on real-time information or factors beyond my control. It’s frustrating not being able to support someone all the way, even when I really want to help.
What does Juvigo mean to you?
Jungendreisen (Youth Travel in German), Viergutz (Last Name of our CEO) and let´s go
What inspires you in your work and how do you stay motivated and involved?
I’m inspired by the chance to support young people on their journey, whether it’s through language learning, new cultural experiences, or simply growing more independent during a trip. Being part of something that helps shape confidence, curiosity, and connection across borders keeps me motivated. And of course, it’s also a real pleasure to work with our dedicated partners across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland who make these experiences possible.
What do you think sets Juvigo apart from other booking platforms, both for customers and team members?
What sets Juvigo apart is that we’re fully focused on camps and youth travel. It’s all about giving children and teenagers unforgettable, safe experiences. The youth travel industry is also very personal and close-knit: everyone’s on a first-name basis, and there’s a strong sense of community. That supportive atmosphere makes a real difference for our customers and for us as a team.
If you could book a camp through Juvigo for yourself, which camp or destination would you go to?
I’d either go for a basketball camp to stay active and improve my skills, or maybe a trip to Southern Europe where my friends and I could enjoy the sunny weather, explore new places and just have an amazing time together.
What advice would you give to potential candidates considering a career at Juvigo?o to?
Be ready to take responsibility, grow quickly, and be part of a team that truly supports one another. Bring your ideas, your curiosity, and your willingness to learn and you will enjoy coming to the office every day.
